From Thurgau to the World
The Story
Josef Klein founded Faserplast in 1972 in Rickenbach (TG) with a simple goal in mind: to combine artisanal precision with business reliability. What began as a trading company quickly evolved into a manufacturer of glass reinforced plastic (GRP) products, with a corporate culture in which quality and reliability are a given.
This philosophy is not just a corporate legend. It is embedded in the structures, processes, and decisions that continue to shape the company to this day, well beyond the borders of Thurgau.

In 2016 Faserplast was restructured. The company was split into two specialized sister companies, both sharing the same values and owners but with distinct areas of focus. Faserplast Composites AG has placed an even stronger emphasis on the development and manufacture of composite assemblies for international industrial customers. Meanwhile, our sister company, Faserplast AG (“fapa”), continues to establish itself in the Swiss market as a dynamic trading company with in-depth expertise.
