Special Purpose Vehicles (SPV)
Ballistic Protective Panels for Emergency and Special-Operations Vehicles
Engineering and fully documented series production of extremely lightweight protective and structural components for special-purpose and government vehicles — for example, splinter protection in the underbody area of an armored vehicle. The components are precisely matched to the strict specifications and weight limits of the vehicle class.
Highlights
For maximum energy absorption under highly dynamic impact loads, glass fibers or high-strength aramid fiber (Kevlar) can be integrated into the composite layup. Embedded aluminum profiles and the sandwich structure provide outstanding rigidity. This delivers superior protection of the vehicle interior while achieving a massive weight reduction compared to conventional steel armor.
