Railway: Rolling Stock
Lightweight Construction with Infusion Components
Series production of structurally highly loaded large components for rail vehicles with maximum lightweight requirements to reduce energy consumption and axle loads.
Highlights
By using the vacuum infusion process, a physically optimal and reproducible fiber-to-matrix ratio is achieved. Excess resin is avoided as part of the process, resulting in highly compacted components. These offer maximum strength and rigidity at an extremely low weight.
