Front Cab with Fire Protection for the Highest Requirements
Design and manufacture of a complete front cab including lamp and door covers for urban metro transit. The execution was carried out in compliance with the highest fire protection requirements according to EN 45545-2 (hazard level HL3), as well as the requirements for class A1 structural bonding according to DIN EN 17460.
Highlights
To meet the extreme HL3 fire protection requirements without compromise, a special Askofen resin system was selected. Due to its viscosity, this highly flame-retardant resin can only be processed using the vacuum infusion method. The result is a highly compacted “single-skin” structure with maximum fire protection.
